Here is another of my recent paintings. I took this photograph at Blind Channel Resort exactly a year ago on a family cruise up the coast in my parents boat while we were staying at our homestead at Port Neville. We had just tied up to the dock when this Dehaviland Beaver of Corilair charters landed. I loved the misty hillsides and mountains in the background. I have always been told that I was born into the wrong time, and it is almost like going back in time to my favourite era of history when I am in the north island or in areas such as this. Much of the BC coast is only accessible by boat or floatplane. I love that. Even our homestead is only accessible by boat and floatplane, so when I saw this Beaver tie up I knew it had to be painted.
